See you again in Schladming!

The Treasury & Finance Convention (TFC) was very successfully launched in September 2023. Already with the established a new fixture in the congress calendar of the treasury and finance world. The next round will take place from September 11 to 13, 2024.

A new event always involves a certain amount of risk in terms of success and feedback from the audience, but our expectations were far exceeded last year. We welcomed more than 400 participants and they were more than satisfied with the premiere. The very pleasing recommendation rate of 94 percent speaks for itself.

Despite the successful kick-off last year, we are not resting on our laurels, but are already well into preparations for the 2024 congress, which will once again take place at "congress Schladming".

After the visitor numbers in 2023 were already well above our benchmark, things are also looking promising for this year and we are more than optimistic that we will be able to exceed the 400 mark again this year. We have already received the first registrations and demand from exhibitors remains high. This not only speaks for a successful baptism of fire, but also shows us that the Treasury & Finance Convention has already made a name for itself.

Austria at the center

In addition to the six high-caliber main stages, over thirty workshops and best practice talks on a wide range of topics from the treasury and finance world await participants again this year. In the central discussions, different perspectives on Austria as a business location will be examined in detail. Participants can look forward to assessments on topics such as the demand for creativity and flexibility in the financing environment, the top priorities of CFOs and the delicate future of Europe as an economic power.

The two top keynotes by Peter Filzmaier and Martin Schulz promise interesting insights in this super election year. The renowned political scientist and communications consultant Peter Filzmaier is known to the majority of Austrians primarily for his political analyses. As part of the TFC, we are delighted to welcome him as a guest speaker on the opening day. As is well known, Filzmaier does not hold back with his opinions and is known for his pointed statements. The title of his lecture suggests that we will also be served up such statements in Schladming: "The lemming train: political polarization instead of democracy?"

The former President of the European Parliament and German politician Martin Schulz will address the many challenges facing our continent on the closing day under the promising keynote title "Europe - what now?". There is an urgent need to find answers to the global rise of authoritarian systems, war in our immediate neighbourhood, climate change, economic pressure and increasing bureaucratization.

As in the previous year, the well-known ORF presenter, journalist and speaker Mariella Gittler will host the three-day event.

In 2023, the Treasury & Finance Convention received official certification as a Green Event Austria. This confirms our efforts in terms of sustainability and environmental protection. This year, too, we are striving to organize the event in accordance with the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Events. We would therefore like to recommend CO2-free travel to and from the event with our mobility partner ÖBB.
